Since there are no belts, gears, or transmissions, the cylinder spins off of the motor shaft, with no main bearings to go out, and a minimum of moving parts.  The unit brakes to a halt when it is turned off, and an internal electronic timer will automatically cut off the unit in three minutes, preventing over runs.
